BECOME A SUPPORT STAFF FOR OUR TEACHERS!
Take advantage of the opportunity to teach others the foundations of English listening, understanding, speaking, reading, and writing! When you volunteer as an ESL instructor with SRA Ministries, you will undoubtedly make a difference in others. You do not need to speak a foreign language or have teaching experience. SRA Ministries will provide you with the curriculum and training.
Summer Site 1: 4144 N Central Express way (Uptown Dallas)
Monday through Thursday
Time commitment: from 7:00PM to 8:30PM.
Summer Site 2: Frazier House Community Center
4600 Spring Avenue Dallas (South East Dallas)
Monday through Thursday
Time commitment: from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.
If interested in supporting the teaching online, you will want to have access to a laptop, tablet, or any computer device that will connect you to either Microsoft Teams or the Zoom app. Utilizing a pair of headsets will work best to communicate with students online.
We also have two other teaching opportunities!
Team teaching - Whether it is in person or online, you will be able to meet with a smaller group of students and help them build on their skills and knowledge in a more individualized setting.
Substitute teacher - Whether it is in person or online, you will support teachers and instruction when a teacher needs to take a break due to illness or family responsibilities.
Additional volunteers needed for office help and other special student recognition events and graduation. To learn more about any of these other volunteer opportunities: volunteer@wearesraministries.org
NEW: WE ARE HIRING TEACHERS FOR A SPECIAL SUMMER PROGRAM!
