Talky Tuesday: An Evening of Learning, Fun, and Interactions.

SRA Ministries is launching a new conversational series called "Talky Tuesdays" as an extension of their English Language program, "Communicate." This initiative aims to provide students with opportunities to practice their fluency and communication skills by interacting with English-speaking guests once a month during the Spring Semester. Reverend Angel Del Rio, founder of SRA Ministries, explained that the conversational sessions will be held on Tuesdays, hence the name "Talky Tuesday."

The "Communicate" program focuses on developing various language skills, including listening, understanding, reading, writing, and speaking. Through engaging activities designed for the program, students gain confidence and proficiency in English. Many families in the metroplex are in great need of learning English to effectively communicate with professionals providing them with services. Margarita Hernandez, an online student at Level 1, shared her experience, expressing how the program has empowered her to overcome her fear and shame of not being able to communicate effectively.
"Talky Tuesdays" provides a safe environment for students to practice English while engaging with English-speaking guests. The sessions offer a unique opportunity for students to try out their language skills with the encouragement and support of others. The guests also benefit from the activities and enjoy a pleasant evening while sharing snacks with the students. Ms. Ila Sutton, a board member of SRA Ministries, emphasized that "Talky Tuesdays" is a win-win event that promises enjoyment and meaningful interaction for both students and guests.
